Data-center services provider FiberMedia Group LLC has hired a new channel director and launched a fresh partner program.

On Tuesday, the company said it has named Matt Alexander as director of channels. Alexander manages and supports FiberMedia's channel initiatives, which now include "Accelerate." This program lets agents and VARs sell colocation and cloud while getting marketing, co-branding, and sales and technical support from FiberMedia. The company also offers training.

FiberMedia last year implemented Project Velocity, which resulted in the signing of 10 new agents and addition of a "significant" number of new customers, the company said in a press release. The Accelerate Partner Program seeks to build on that momentum.

FiberMedia operates facilities throughout the New York metro area and Cleveland, Ohio.
