Huawei's enterprise unit, which now sells through Synnex, Communications Test Design and other distributors in the United States, has released 802.11ac access points for businesses.

The China-based equipment maker said the gear reinforces its commitment to Gigabit wireless access as the cloud and BYOD trends transform organizations.

The AP7030DN-AC and AP7130DN-AC support throughput of up to 1.3gbps at 5G frequency and 1.75gbps at dual frequency, and scale from 11n to 11ac. Their capabilities enable HD video streaming, multimedia activities and cloud desktop access, Huawei said.

Huawei entered the U.S. enterprise market earlier this year, competing with Cisco and similar rivals.
