Windstream's Hosted Solutions division has opened a new data center as demand soars for cloud and managed services.

This one is located in McLean, Va. Windstream also opened another data center in Little Rock, Ark., earlier this year (check out our gallery for an inside look).

Windstream's newest facility comprises 65,000 square feet with 45,000 square feet of raised floor space. It features 2N power distribution and parallel multimodule uninterruptable power supplies, all of which is meant to ensure customers' access to their servers, applications and data at all times. There's also an on-site network operations center that's fully staffed 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and high-level security controls including biometric identity access and video surveillance.
