ViaWest has added virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) service to its portfolio, thanks to a partnership with Dizzion.

On Wednesday, ViaWest, a data center, cloud computing and managed services provider, launched its KINECTed VDI platform. VDI lets workers access their desktops from any device, any time. At the same time, organizations using VDI get to cut down on the amount of equipment they have on-site, and thus move typical capex expenses to their opex budgets. And in the case of KINECTed VDI, ViaWest handles the monitoring, networking, patching, updates, anti-virus, licensing and more.

ViaWest sells through channel partners.
