MegaPath Snares New Field Sales VP From CenturyLink

MegaPath has hired a new vice president of field sales who will also work with the provider's indirect channel team.

MegaPath this week named Jeff Waters as the new executive. Waters comes to the company from CenturyLink, where he served as vice president of the government and education division. He also worked for Qwest, before it was acquired by CenturyLink.

Waters will not have direct responsibility over the channel, but he will work with Eric Beller and the channel team on indirect opportunities, MegaPath said.

"MegaPath’s channel integrates with its sales teams," a spokeswoman told Channel Partners. "It has a channel-neutral policy in which its direct sales teams often engage with existing and prospective MegaPath partners to work jointly on accounts. This includes all sales teams including field sales, inside sales, strategic sales and enterprise sales. Because of this channel neutral policy, there is also no commission reduction for an agent when working with a MegaPath sales representative."

Waters will work in MegaPath's new Denver office, overseeing the company’s outside sales teams that focus on mid-to-large size businesses and enterprise accounts.
