Telecom and IP distributor Novus wants to encourage its VARs to sell Ferrari electronic AG's OfficeMaster Gateway, which supports new features in Microsoft Lync Server 2013.

To that end, the company is offering free, private training to resellers who sign up to carry Ferrari electronic products. Novus also is introducing a new promotion called "Lync in a Box;" the initiative lets partners save money when deploying Ferrari electronic products with snom UC or Aaastra phones. Partners who buy one Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gateway with any combination of 50 snom UC edition phones will receive five additional phones for free; resellers buying one Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gateway with any combination of 50 Aastra phones will earn a $200 credit toward a future purchase.

Novus just started carrying Ferrari electronic products.

“Ferrari electronic is...the first manufacturer to integrate its gateway with Lync Server 2013," said Chris Meehan, managing partner at Novus. “This creates a compelling value proposition for resellers because they can install software-based OfficeMaster Gate gateway cards now as proof of concepts and deliver a highly scalable gateway solution with a tremendous ROI to [SMBs] looking for Lync migration solutions."

Novus sells the Ferrari electronic OfficeMaster Gate media gateway and OfficeMaster SBA survivable branch appliance to resellers either as appliances or PCI boards that can be installed in servers from HP and other manufacturers.

“Resellers will find the licensing options particularly appealing, since they can optionally configure gateway and survivable branch appliance functionality on a single card to reduce power consumption, minimize rack space and further reduce costs while benefitting from ongoing improvements through firmware upgrades that are free of charge within the current revision," Meehan said.
