MegaPath Corp. (Booth 405) on Wednesday took the wraps off its new enterprise, private and hybrid cloud-hosting platforms, powered by VMware's vCloud.
The products give users a virtual environment for hosting applications, data and storage. MegaPath said it is targeting customers who need to beef up their capabilities without investing more capital expense, or who don't have the IT resources for security compliance.
“Our new cloud hosting solutions are designed to simplify a business’ transition to the cloud," said Greg Davis, MegaPath's vice president of cloud services.
Here's how MegaPath is breaking out the different platforms:
- Enterprise Cloud: Lets organizations use dedicated, scalable resource pools.
- Private Cloud: Replaces end users' legacy dedicated services with VMware cloud infrastructure.
- Hybrid Cloud: Offers dedicated hosting and co-location options with servers, storage, firewalls and load-balancing equipment that can be used as a standalone service or part of a hybrid enterprise or private cloud.
MegaPath's new cloud hosting services include support for Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as managed services such as SQL/MySQL databases, anti-virus, data backup, SSL certificates and performance monitoring, analytics and alert notifications.
