Master agency Intelisys announced Thursday that telecom agency Global Communications Group Inc. has exceeded $1 million in monthly billings, becoming a Platinum level sales partner.

Joel St. Germain is the second Intelisys subagent to achieve this milestone. NetSource Group, Portland, Ore., was the first to become a Platinum partner in March 2011.

Denver-based Global Communications Group has been an Intelisys agent since 2003 and has been part of Club TPC since its inception, earning various awards at the different achievement levels. The Platinum level award includes a trip for two anywhere in the world, and Aug. 9 will now be recognized and celebrated by Intelisys as "Global Communications Group Day."

“This is a monumental achievement and speaks not only to the dedication of everyone at Global Communications Group, but also to the incredible opportunity for all telecom agents. We believe our sales partners, like Joel, have only begun to scratch the surface of possibilities," said Rick Dellar, Intelisys co-founder, in a press statement.

The $1 million MRR goal was first presented Intelisys agents four years ago when the master agency launched its Top Performing Champions incentive program, offering rewards for billings at various levels, from Bronze at $100,000 MRR to Platinum at $1 Million MRR. “We put the Platinum [Level] out there with the hope that one day someone would get it," Dellar said in a 2011 interview with Channel Partners.

“We have had this goal in mind for the last few years, so we are beyond thrilled to accomplish it," said Joel St. Germain, CEO of Global Communications Group. “We have built a tremendous partnership with Intelisys, and we look forward to continued growth for years to come. No one else in the industry comes close to their top-level support, so we owe much of our success to Intelisys."

Founded in 1994, Intelisys services include carrier voice and data, cloud, cable, collaboration services, wireless and wired access, auxiliary services such as voice and Web conferencing, and Intelisys’ proprietary telecom asset management tool, Audex.
