Zultys UC Software Upgrade Supports Android
January 31, 2012 - News

Zultys on Tuesday released the latest version of its unified communications software.

The biggest news is that MX Release 7.0 now features Mobile Communicator for Android (support for iPhone and BlackBerry was built into the previous edition). Users may access their presence settings, company directories, call logs, secure IM and more through the app, from their Android-powered devices.

There's also enhanced support for and Microsoft Outlook. For example, contact center agents may log into their queues and use any phone as their office phone. Zultys further put more customization into MX Release 7.0 so users can position toolbars and windows to their liking.

Finally, Zultys has added more security to its UC software, so the system monitors packets and blocks suspicious traffic. Systems administrators may implement tighter Network Admission Control policies, which means they can support teleworkers and SIP trunking services without the need for third-party SIP-aware firewalls.

MX Release 7.0 will be available through channel partners in February. Existing users with current software subscriptions may upgrade for free.
