U.S.-based companies with locations in Canada now can use Metropolitan Telecommunications' (MetTel) services in the Great White North.

MetTel, a competitive service provider headquartered in New York, said on Tuesday it has secured new wholesale deals with LECs in Canada, allowing it to offer its services throughout all of the Canadian provinces. The news bodes well for agents whose business customers operate throughout North America.

"Our expansion into Canada is in direct response to customer demand," Marshall Aronow, CEO of MetTel, in a prepared statement. "The needs of enterprise customers, like large retail chains, do not end at the U.S. border."

MetTel's services include VoIP, traditional and MPLS-based voice, Internet and Ethernet access, and telecom expense management.
