Integra Telecom, the business-grade networking and communications solution provider, has named a familiar face to its CEO post.
Kevin O'Hara, a company board member since 2009 – with stints as director, chairman and executive chairman – is the new chief executive officer. He'll also maintain a position on the board.
“As a member of Integra’s board for the past two years I’m very familiar with the company and optimistic about Integra’s future," said O’Hara. “Leveraging our strong network of fiber assets, robust IP network and first-class talent, Integra is well positioned to meet the growing demand for high-bandwidth networking and communications solutions, and managed services."
While on Portland, Ore.-based Integra's board, O'Hara has been a big voice behind the company's effective use of its extensive fiber assets to deliver a diverse suite of advanced service offerings.
O’Hara replaces Tom Casey, recently appointed CEO of Tronox Inc. Jim Huesgen, who has been Integra's president since 2002, maintains his post, reporting to O'Hara.
Before coming to Integra O'Hara co-founded and served as president, COO and director of Level 3 Communications.
