Software developer NEVEX Virtual Technologies on Tuesday launched its channel partner program, seeking VARs that specialize in database optimization, virtualization, enterprise applications, storage and server infrastructure. The Toronto-based company is the creator of CacheWorks, a caching platform that improves application performance.
NEVEX said its Early Adopter Program, which runs from now through the end of the year, includes special pricing and incentives. For example, there's a 90-day "ramp-up package" with direct sales assistance. NEVEX's partner portal also provides sales materials, white papers, presentations and more. Resellers further get technical product and sales support.
CacheWorks uses SSD/Flash and DRAM to cache active data on a server; this allows the administrator to decide which application needs to perform better. Nigel Miller, vice president of business development at NEVEX, said the technology "solves a frustrating IT and business-sapping productivity problem – poor application performance." For VARs, this means a new way to increase revenue, he added.
"Our software can be bundled into [the VAR's] product or service offering, is easy to install and fast to generate results," Miller said in a press release. "And because CacheWorks is totally hardware agnostic, the software can be integrated with any SSD/Flash and server hardware, allowing our VARs to seek out vendors that offer the best pricing."
NEVEX said partners make 35 percent gross margin on a list price of $2,500.
