Toshiba’s New IP Phone Features ‘Fast Ethernet’

September 28, 2011 - News

Toshiba’s telecom division this week introduced a new IP business phone that meets customer demand for an endpoint with a “Fast Ethernet" connection and LCD button labels.

The IP5531-SDL is a nine-line IP business telephone with 20 programmable buttons, a 10/100mbps Ethernet connection – rather than GigE – and a full-duplex speakerphone. The device works with Toshiba’s IPedge phone systems and the Strata CIX IP platform. It is available from authorized Toshiba dealers.

The new phone means Toshiba customers now have nine IP5000-series phones from which to choose. Models range from four- to nine-line telephones, with 10 to 20 flexible buttons, and many have backlit LCD screens. They come with either Gigabit Ethernet or the 10/100Mbps “Fast Ethernet" connection. Each version has a PC interface, headset interface and an Ethernet cable. Pricing varies by model.
