TelePacific Offers Cloud-Based PBX for SMBs

CHANNEL PARTNERS — TelePacific Communications (Booth #1200 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo and an executive show sponsor) has added hosted PBX to its portfolio of IP voice and data services after heeding requests from agents.

“We listened to you, and with the addition of hosted PBX to our product line you will be able to offer more comprehensive solutions and therefore expand your customer base," said Ken Bisnoff, TelePacific’s channel chief. “Not to mention you’ll be viewed as an agent that can deliver cutting-edge technology to your clients."

Hosted PBX lets customers connect to an off-site managed PBX, so they may take advantage of the features of an on-site PBX without expending capital to buy and maintain equipment. Since the PBX system is in the cloud, TelePacific performs the necessary hardware and software upgrades, and customers are not impacted.

TelePacific offers two kinds of hosted service: one for enterprise customers seeking advanced features such as call recording, call center, and Outlook and CRM integration; and an entry-level service for businesses wanting PBX capabilities and an easy-to-use interface. To help indirect channel partners identify prospects, TelePacific said to look for the following:

  • Customers who are hesitant or don’t have the capital to invest in telecommunications equipment;
  • Customers who prefer the predictability of monthly service fees rather than equipment and maintenance costs;
  • Customers whose equipment and/or technology needs change frequently;
  • And customers who don’t want to house and manage the daily operations of an owned phone system.

TelePacific’s cloud-based PBX platform uses Cisco Systems gear, including the equipment giant’s routers, power-over-Ethernet switches, IP phones and uninterruptible power supply modules.
