Panterra Taps Lane as Sales VP

Hosted UC provider  PanTerra Networks, Sunnyvale, Calif., announced that Gene “Skip" Lane, a 26-year veteran of the competitive telecom market, has been appointed executive vice president of sales and marketing. In this role, Lane will have oversight of PanTerra’s indirect sales channel.

Lane comes to his new post from Revenue Velocity, a boutique communications consulting firm servicing telecom, software and wireless technology companies. Previously, he was senior vice president of sales and business development for IP communications provider Intelliverse. He also served as CEO of several companies, including IP provider  Razor IP,  CLEC Direct Line Communications and CLEC Network One. Lane also spent more than eight years with  Cable & Wireless N.A., where he built an indirect channel division to more than  $20 million.

PanTerra  offers WorldSmart, a UC service integrates voice, fax, chat and email with presence and web collaboration. WorldSmart integrates with business SaaS applications like Salesforce.com.
