CHANNEL PARTNERS — Time Warner Cable Business Class (TWCBC) (Booth 1407 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo) has changed its pricing approach for telecom agents, VARs and systems integrators, and has launched a new service those partners may sell.
First, the cable operator has given its sales partners the go-ahead to use market-based pricing. The rates are the same ones TWCBC’s direct retail sales teams get to access. TWCBC implemented the change last month.
At the same time, it launched Wideband Internet service in several United States markets. TWCBC describes Wideband Internet as the next generation of cable Internet for business customers. The service scales bandwidth speeds for quicker uploads and downloads, and links business locations on TWC’s infrastructure, all over the operator’s hybrid fiber coax network.
TWCBC is hosting several Webinars to train partners on how to sell Wideband Internet, as well as providing rate cards, contract templates and marketing material.
Wideband Internet is available now in most of New York City, with phased launches planned for additional New York markets including Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. Other cities include Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio; Charlotte, N.C.; and Dallas, Texas.
