CHANNEL PARTNERS — If you’re a VAR attending the Channel Partners Conference & Expo, March 13-15, in Las Vegas, check out some of the sessions at the SMB VOICE Workshop track sponsored by the SMB Nation, a publishing and events company targeted at the small and medium business technology consultant and reseller community.

SMB Nation’s partnership with Channel Partners is entering its second year. The publishing companies presented colocated programming at the Spring and Fall 2010 Channel Partners events.

The Spring 2011 SMB VOICE Workshop, which runs from 3:45-5:30 on Sunday, March 13, and 9:15-12:15 on Monday, March 14, speaks to VARs about adding voice services to their portfolios.

The track kicks off on Sunday with some business training. First up is The Pocket MBA for MSPs delivered by SMB Nation’s own CEO Harry Brelsford, who also is Dean of Aspen University’s School of Technology. This is followed by a how-to: Creating a Seven-Figure, Sustained Thriving Partner Practice.

On Monday, the workshop switches gears to focus on VoIP with three intensive consecutive sessions on topics, such as transforming your IT consultancy into a successful VoIP provider, overcoming FUD when selling voice to SMBs, and the finale: a live, 60-minute demo of a complete hosted VoIP implementation.
