CHANNEL PARTNERS — Data storage and virtual service provider Online Datavault (ODV) (Booth #1222 at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo) is announcing the expansion of its services to include managed service offerings.
ODV provides services at the customers’ premise as well as a wide offering of cloud-based services. ODV says it understands the importance of streamlining, optimizing and sustaining critical information technology systems versus clients supporting themselves.
For ODV, managed services offer opportunities for agents to start off selling smaller services, then they can build on additional services as their relationship with their customer grows. For example, an agent can sell ODV’s basic service – network and infrastructure monitoring – to a customer. If the network is having issues, naturally the customer will contact the agent. From there, they can sell their hardware or software upgrade. Additionally, if the customer is happy with their managed network and infrastructure monitoring service, then the agent can sell other more advanced solutions, such as virtualization, collocation, and disaster recovering.
“Understanding our business customer’s needs is very important to us; our MSP offering will allow our customers to remain competitive in today’s marketplace," said Michael Kaspar, director of regional sales for Online Datavault.
The ODV MSP offerings will strategically use private cloud-based technology, services and applications as a tool which the company says allows its clients to focus on their core business success, not on information technology.
