Cloud communications provider IntelePeer Inc.’s SIP trunking services now are qualified to run with Microsoft Office Communications Online, part of Microsoft Online Services.
IntelePeer’s SIP trunking product had to pass a rigorous certification process done by an independent testing organization. More than 25 tests were conducted that covered inbound and outbound SIP trunking connection scenarios, virtual direct-internal-dialing calls and complex dial plans.
Microsoft Online Services are delivered through a subscription, giving businesses messaging and collaboration tools without the need to maintain hardware or software. Companies also can use them in a private-cloud deployment.
"IntelePeer is helping customers embrace cloud-based services by providing high-quality SIP trunking connections that enhance the multimodal communications capabilities within Microsoft Online Services," said Yancey Smith, Microsoft’s director of Lync product management.
IntelePeer sells through channel partners including VARs.
