Virgo Publishing, a leading business-to-business information services company, announced today that Channel Partners, Virgo’s resource for the communications channel, has partnered with The 2112 Group, a technology business strategy firm specializing in technology and channel communications and intelligence services, to launch the Channel Partners Cloud Convergence Council.
As the IT and Telecom channels converge in the cloud, Channel Partners and The 2112 Group seek to bridge the gap by bringing together thought leaders from both channels to form a unique council. The Cloud Convergence Council will consider strategic issues such as evolving business models and identifying opportunities and challenges, as well as tactical issues such as reconciling terms and language and setting governance and performance expectations.
The inaugural council will be introduced and share its initial work and goals in a roundtable discussion at the 2011 Spring Channel Partners Conference & Expo, March 13-15, 2011, in Las Vegas.
