Cloud services master agency Terrapin Solutions has appointed a hosted VoIP expert as its new vice president of engineering.
Brad Schwab, who has more than 20 years of computer-engineering experience, will oversee Terrapin’s cloud services pre-sales engineering and design. He’ll also run the company’s interoperability lab, which tests all phones, routers and switches before they’re installed at a customer’s location.
“Brad was one of the early pioneers of hosted VoIP over 10 years ago," said Andrew Pryfogle, president and CEO of Terrapin Solutions, in a prepared statement. “He has tremendous experience in this space and deep technical knowledge around designing solutions. As we continue to scale Terrapin, we’re thrilled to have Brad running our engineering efforts nationally."
Prior to joining Terrapin, Schwab served as vice president of technology for Canon, which became one of the top Cisco UC500 resellers in Northern California. In 1995, he founded Mountain Computer Engineering, the first company to partner with GoBeam, one of the world’s earliest commercial launches of hosted VoIP services.
“The cloud services industry is poised for tremendous growth," Schwab said in a press release. “With such a vast number of new products being developed, my goal is to identify the most exciting solutions and refine them to meet Terrapin’s exacting standards. I am excited to bring my expertise to Terrapin as we identify, test and validate the optimum solution for the customer."
