D&H, SMB Nation Ally for Partner Perks

Publisher SMB Nation and D&H Distributing announced Friday at SMB Nation’s Conference in Las Vegas a strategic agreement that would give SMB Nation’s 45,000 reseller readers perks from the value-added distributor.

According to the companies, D&H will work with its vendor partners to create exclusive programs for SMB Nation’s members that purchase from D&H.

According to Jeff Davis, D&H senior vice president of sales, this will include special promotions and pricing, special products and first-to-market product opportunities. He said this is the first time the distributor has entered into such a partnership.

Davis told PHONE+ the perks will be around computing suppliers predominantly, but also may include VoIP systems. D&H represents such suppliers as Cisco, Microsoft, Intel and HP, he added.

As part of the alliance, D&H is sponsoring the SMB Nation Conference, and Davis delivered a keynote address. Harry Brelsford, SMB Nation’s CEO, will present a seminar at D&H’s Mid-Atlantic Technology event Nov. 2 in Hershey, Pa.

In addition, D&H has agreed to distribute the magazine to its existing resellers, effectively increasing SMB Nation’s circulation to 54,000, said SMB Nation CEO Harry Brelsford.

Brelsford noted that the agreement is not a cash transaction. SMB Nation’s partnership asks readers to “give [D&H] a fair shake."
