CA has announced a turnkey cloud computing platform for companies looking to deploy a cloud environment quickly and easily.
In addition, the company is launching a managed services program around the technology, enabling MSPs to add cloud infrastructure services to their stable of offerings for their enterprise customers.
CA 3Tera AppLogic is an end-to-end solution that deploys in a few hours and features a catalog of reusable applications that companies can use to compose, deploy and manage complex online applications, which reduces the time to market for new business services. Rather than build out hardware infrastructure and provisioning new services manually, users and MSPs can create new applications by simply dragging and dropping components using an onscreen dashboard.
With CA 3Tera AppLogic, MSPs and enterprises can more easily move applications and their supporting infrastructure from development and test environments to full production simply by dragging-and-dropping from one environment to another, also eliminating the need to replicate configurations manually. Users also can better manage spikes in demand for existing applications by easily adding capacity or compute resources as needed, and they can quickly provision a private cloud environment from scratch.
CA gained the AppLogic technology in its acquisition in February of 3Tera, part of a slew of purchases the company has made in an effort to boost its cloud computing capabilities. The AppLogic technology currently boasts 80 customers worldwide.
The latest offering, version 2.9, includes features such as high availability for networking, increased IP flexibility and security, improved storage health monitoring, increased support for database replication and full compatibility with previous versions of the platform.
