Justin Crotty, former vice president of services at Ingram Micro, has joined IT services firm NetEnrich to help it increase its channel presence.

Crotty, who was head of Ingram Micro’s Seismic managed services business, left the company in early July. At NetEnrich, where he is senior vice president and general manager, he will be responsible for driving the company’s channel business.

“Our strategy is all channel – we have two major focus markets which are loosely defined as SMB and SME," Crotty said. “Ingram Micro is our primary partner for the SMB space, and our newer relationship is with Arrow ECS, which is targeted at the medium enterprise business that is their bread and butter."

NetEnrich calls itself an IT-as-a-service provider, and is looking to beef up its managed services and cloud enablement through its channel partners. The company serves as a "virtual IT staff" to channel partners who support SMB and midsize enterprises with remote network monitoring, IT infrastructure management and oversight of data centers, IT operations and cloud infrastructures, according to the company.

Crotty’s move was not unexpected; it was announced in mid-June, although the exact start date was not known. At NetEnrich, Crotty is responsible for sales, marketing and product development, and is tasked with growing NetEnrich's professional and managed IT services through IT service and solution providers, VARs and MSPs, according to the company.

“I had been thinking about taking a senior role at a smaller company for some time," Crotty said. “In working with NetEnrich at Ingram Micro, I formed a close relationship with the owners and just think it’s a good fit in the way we work and the we approach the business."

Crotty also will oversee NetEnrich’s strategic alliances with new and existing partners' managed services vendors, which will include expanding the company’s channel partner ecosystem throughout North America and Europe. He reports to company CEO Raju Chekuri and will be based out of the company’s San Jose, Calif., headquarters.
