Concierge Communications, a master agency based in Tempe, Ariz., announced Monday the addition of Janelle Houston as sales and agent assistant, a new position created to improve programs for subagents selling its hosted and managed services offerings.

Houston comes to Concierge from IT solutions provider Primex Technology Inc.,  where she was a channel manager. Previously, she was an executive assistant to the CEO of Castillo Technologies LLC, an It consulting firm and systems integrator. Houston will graduate from Arizona State University in December with a bachelor’s degree in economics and an international business certificate.

According to the company, Houston’s IT industry experience will enable her to develop  strong relationships with clients and agents, assist in agent recruitment, act as an arbitrator for issue resolution and improve the onboarding process for new subagents. She will be working with the company’s subagents, internal agent managers and carrier channel managers in these efforts, she said.

“Janelle’s organizational and proposal writing skills will help us in the complex world of converged hosted and managed services that we offer clients," said Concierge Communication’s Vice President Clark Atwood. “Her ability to relate to VARs and system integrators will enhance our agent offering to those groups. We want to help them become communications and technology agents as the SMB space embraces cloud computing over many local IT support options."

Creating the new position is another sign of growth for Concierge; last year the company added members to its sales support team, hired an office manager and created an in-house marketing department.  Earlier this year, the master agency bought two of its subagents. In April 2010, it acquired JB Telecom Consultants resulting in the addition of a new business partner, Jana Beck, and the expansion of the sales support team. In June, it acquired Streamline Management Group.

“As we say around the office, we’re not getting any smaller," said Atwood. “We’ve made a lot of positive changes in the company. We’re excited to welcome Janelle to the team and we know she’ll be a great asset in our continuing growth as a company."

Concierge represents more than 40 business communications providers.
