Verizon: Make Your Phone Your ‘Ally’

The first of two new LG phones is set to debut May 20 on the Verizon Wireless network. It’s called the “Ally,” and you’re bound to see it a lot this week in the run-up to the release of “Iron Man 2.” The Ally is featured in the sequel to the hit 2008 movie.

There aren’t a lot of specifics about the phone in the press release that unveils it, but speculation the past couple of weeks is that it will have a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera with 720p video. It's expected to run Android 2.1.

Competition has been steep this year in the new Android market. The HTC DROID Incredible opened to solid sales and reviews last month.
