NEC Corp. was busy introducing new products at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona today.
The networking vendor launched its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering and its Service Delivery Platform (SDP), all with the aim of making communications easier for end users.
The SaaS system can be paired with telecom providers’ services; the SDP aids mobile social networking and mobile advertising.
“Telecommunication markets are experiencing strong competition for delivering new revenue-generating services,” said Heinrich Stüttgen, vice president of NEC Europe. “It is thereby crucial to satisfy increasing user expectations for advanced services that utilize available devices, their capabilities, a variety of subscriptions, context information and user profiles.”
