Channel Partners: TelePacific Taps Perimeter eSecurity

March 10, 2008 - News

Channel Partners Conference & Expo sponsor Perimeter eSecurity (Booth 1421), a provider of complete security on demand, announced that TelePacific Communications (Booth 1401), a competitive carrier that serves customers throughout California and Nevada, has added the Perimeter Unified Threat Management (UTM) suite of services to its OneSecure business offering. The Perimeter UTM suite of services includes firewall, intrusion detection and/or prevention, gateway AV, Web site filtering, Web browsing AV and secure access VPNs. TelePacific now can offer a comprehensive, cost-effective suite of security services for its channel partners and SMB customers.

“We are very excited to work with TelePacific Communications,” said Brent Duncan, vice president of Perimeter’s channel sales group. “TelePacific is a highly innovative company providing leading-edge business IP, voice and data services. Our companies share a history of rapid growth coupled with a steadfast focus on customer service and satisfaction. We also share a common mission to bring state-of-the-art services, once only available to the largest enterprises, to SMBs in a price range that is within their reach.”

Perimeter’s UTM suite blocks malicious traffic before it enters a customer’s network. The software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution includes a centralized management platform that enables SMBs to manage and monitor threat activity and order security services on-demand through one integrated portal.

For carriers looking for a key differentiator at the POS, Perimeter’s turnkey solution enables communications service providers to realize immediate, high-margin, recurring revenue without upfront costs, explains Perimeter.

“We are pleased to become a Powered by Perimeter user,” said Ken Bisnoff, senior vice president of strategic opportunities at TelePacific. “Perimeter’s experience and success in providing comprehensive outsourced services to the telecommunications market in addition to the financial services and SMB markets makes them the ideal provider to our customers of a superior security offering. The UTM suite of managed security services offers the same features and levels of quality of service that the largest enterprises receive — at a price that most companies can afford. Our customers can start with a few basic security services and add more as they like, on demand.”

TelePacific’s OneSecure offering for businesses provides a variety of telecommunications services, including local and long-distance voice, VoIP, dedicated Internet access, private networking and data transport services as well as bundled voice and Internet solutions.
