MCI Inc. today announced Carrier IP Termination, which uses SIP, as the newest addition to its wholesale VoIP offerings.
Carrier IP Termination helps wholesale customers save money when terminating IP-originated calls to the PSTN. The product is available on a limited basis through 2005, but will be widely available during the first quarter of 2006.
MCI’s Wholesale Services division also offers SIP Gateway Services, available in three service configurations: inbound complete, two-way local and two-way complete. Each of the configurations means MCI provides the media gateway to the PSTN, local number portability, E911 (for outbound configurations), directory listings and Web-based order submission.
