SMC Networks Inc. will provide a suite of Wi-Fi products and Fast Ethernet managed switches to customers of Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.’s Digital Solutions Division’s (TAIS DSD) “Strata CIX” all-IP business systems, via Toshiba's network of authorized dealers.
"The SMC Networks strategic alliance enables Toshiba to deliver a comprehensive pure IP telephony solution," says Larry Meyer, vice president of sales and marketing for TAIS DSD.
SMC Networks will make available its 802.11 Wireless Access Point and Bridge, several Fast Ethernet switches, a high performance non-blocking power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch and a single-port PoE Injector. SMC Networks' wired and wireless LAN equipment has been tested and certified for integration with the Toshiba Strata CIX. SMC's solutions are also compatible with Toshiba's Strata CTX family of digital business communications systems, which can be IP-enabled.
