McGraw Communications and sister company Business Communications Management (BCM) recently celebrated eight years of President’s Circle Awards trips with a record attendance at the Rosewood Mayakoba resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Nov. 3-7.
The site played host to McGraw's top salespeople and sales partners.
“We take the concept of a sales-awards trip to an entirely different level within this industry and truly make it a target that partners and sales people alike focus on achieving all year long," said McGraw CEO Frank Ahearn. "I know we are a success when every single achiever on this trip says that they will stop at nothing to make it in 2015.”
Rosewood Mayakoba stood out as a unique destination for McGraw this year, with each guest room having its own pool overlooking a natural lagoon, all reachable by boat. Rosewood was also the destination for the PGA Tours OHL Classic at Mayakoba the following week. Guests enjoyed the privilege of playing on the Mayakoba course, which was perfectly groomed and staged for the PGA event.
Over the five-day, four-night trip, daily events were staged for guests, including a welcome beach party; a shopping spree at Rosewood’s Boutique – which was transformed for an afternoon into the BCM/McGraw President's Circle Boutique; beach Olympics; an evening dinner dance at Rosewood’s famous beachside Mexican “Palapa”' an excursion to a rainforest where guests were challenged by zip lines; a swim in a freshwater cenote; and an exploration of the Mayan ruins of Tulum.
The highlight of the trip came on day three at the “White Party” awards dinner on the beach, where owners Frank Ahearn, John Cunningham and Jay Monaghan traditionally deliver their thanks to all the achievers and present them with the President’s Circle award.
This year, the owners were surprised when presented with a gift back from all of the internal employees of BCM/McGraw, who equally contributed to a week's vacation at Disney World for the wife and young daughter of their fallen colleague, Joe Bondi, who lost his life earlier this year. The touching presentation included videoconferencing with Mrs. Bondi, who was equally touched and surprised by the gesture, and capped off an incredible event in the spirit of giving back, which is a large part of the culture at BCM/McGraw.
“The corporate mission statement for BCM/McGraw is to deliver the best customer and partner experience in the telecommunications industry and that spirit holds true for everything that we do, including our President’s Circle," said BCM CEO John Cunningham.
BCM/McGraw is already planning President’s Circle VII in spring 2015.
