As winter weather bashed much of the country, smartphone sales were fairly typical for a February. While down from the holiday season, Samsung and Apple seemed to build strength and leave their rivals in their wake.
Yet an upstart Nokia Lumia 920 hangs in there, and Google stepped into the fray with its own branded device, rather than simply relying on other Android manufacturers for success.
Our image gallery breaks down the top three smartphones at all of America's top four wireless carriers — Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. Rankings come via retail checks made by analysts at Canaccord Genuity.
We'll be watching to see if pending devices from BlackBerry can crack next month's list.
