Telecom Brokerage Inc. (TBI) has wrapped up another of its annual ski workshops in Colorado.
Jan. 20-24, the master agency once again hosted its top partners and vendors in Breckenridge, Colo. (Click here to view last year's event.) This year, the suppliers on hand were: CenturyLink Channel Alliance, Comcast Business Class, EarthLink Business, Level 3, MegaPath, Netwolves, tw telecom and Windstream (PAETEC).
Guests stayed in one of four local houses, with the Alpine Villa estate acting as the main house where everyone met for activities. First on the agenda was an advisory board meeting where TBI staff and partners reviewed 2011's progress. Participants also learned about TBI’s new wireless initiatives and laid out goals for 2012. After that, TBI hosted a partner-vendor mixer and provided a catered dinner.
Then the real fun began. On Saturday, agents and suppliers enjoyed the new snowfall. Some took a three-hour snowmobiling tour while others went skiing. Still others went to town to do some shopping. On Sunday, football fans gathered at the main house to watch the NFL playoffs. Throughout the four days, volunteers cooked meals for everyone.
The getaway paid off for partners and vendors. For Catherine Lazarock of Symplicity Networks, the workshop was "an opportunity to discuss (and potentially solve) some of my current business challenges with other partners."
Jim Glackin, central region area vice president for CenturyLink Channel Alliance, agreed.
"I think that everyone had a great time enjoying the skiing, snowmobiling, and camaraderie, while, at the same time, networking and making quality business connections in a very spacious and comfortable environment," he said.
