Evanston, Illinois-based IT managed service provider Stratosphere Networks will be making its first appearance at the Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, Aug. 21-24. At their “StratZone" booth, the company will be passing out comic strips, holding a raffle and spreading the word about their upcoming website design contest.

A team from Stratosphere will be present all four days and dressed up as Strat X, Stratosphere Networks’ own superhero. Strat X uses his powers to save businesses from all types of IT disasters, everything from server crashes to cloud computing crises. To show off Strat X’s powers, Stratosphere Networks will be handing out their own comic strips featuring Strat X and his various IT solutions. A bolt of lightning turned IT help desk technician Stanley Nichols into super hero Strat X.

To be entered in Stratosphere Networks’ raffle, attendees must “Like" the company’s Facebook page. Winners will be selected to win prizes that include a Roku streaming player, Apple keyboard, “Breaking Bad" and “Dr. Who" packages, and outdoor speakers.

In addition to the raffle, Stratosphere Networks will also be using the event to spread the word about their website design contest. Graphic designers and Web developers are invited to submit a website template by Friday, Oct. 3, for a chance at $1,000. Graphic designers can send their entries to submissions@stratospherenetworks.com.

The Wizard World Comic Con will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The event is expected to attract 90,000 attendees during its four-day run. Special guests at this year’s Comic Con include stars from “The Walking Dead," “Star Trek," “Doctor Who," “WWE Superstar," “The Big Bang Theory" and more.

Comic Con attendees can find Stratosphere Networks’ “StratZone" on the event’s map. For information about Wizard World Comic Con 2014, go to www.wizardworld.com/home-ch.html.
