Clover Invites Channel to STOMP the Monster
Telecom agency Clover Communications Management is sponsoring a 5K run and festival to help raise money for STOMP the Monster, a nonprofit organization assisting cancer patients, their families and caregivers.
Clover principals Dominick Callandriello and Dan Fishman hope to recruit colleagues to the event, which takes place on May 15 at the Marlboro Recreation Center in Marlboro, N.J.
“First and foremost, it’s for a great cause," says Fishman. “But it’s also going to be a really fun event for the entire family. Several telecom colleagues are already participating, but we’re hoping to get many more agents and service provider executives involved with this 5K run and festival as well as future STOMP the Monster events."
Fishman, an avid marathon runner and triathlete, says the 5K run is a USATF-certified and sanctioned, New Jersey Grand Prix Event (500 points), but he encourages couch potatoes as well as serious runners to participate.
“I bring my couch potato friends to events like this and they get hooked because they’re a blast," Fishman says. “They get a little exercise, they network with fantastic people and go away feeling great because they contributed to an important cause that helps people in need."
In addition to the 5K run, the festival will include a one mile "Kids’ STOMP" health walk, bouncy houses, a post-race lunch, a Miller Light beer tent for adults, a Stewarts Root Beer tent for kids, Fajji’s homemade ice cream, a “Twist and Shout" D.J., prize money, raffle giveaways, tech T-shirts and plenty of other goodies from STOMP the Monster sponsors.
Registration and packet pickup begins at 8 a.m. and the event’s activities run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, contact Dan Fishman at dan@cloverbcm.com or visit STOMP the Monster’s website at www.stompthemonster.com.
