Attendees listen to Qwest’s keynote presentation. ADVODA Communications recently hosted its 2010 CommUnity technology event, which brought together its key vendors and agent partners from across the western United States. The event was staged at the beautiful Cable Center on the campus of the University of Denver.

Eighty of ADVODA’s agents listen to Blake Wetzel discuss the direction for Qwest’s Business Partner Program.The format included primary presentations in the morning followed by a luncheon and keynote presentation by title sponsor, Qwest Communications. Blake Wetzel, vice president of Sales for the Qwest Business Partner Program, talked about the future of Qwest and the direction of the Qwest Business Partner Program. In addition, Bob Schroeder, director of New Product Technologies, also shared some of his vision on product development and direction for Qwest. Agents attending the presentations were fully engaged and really appreciated the forward-looking information they provided. The afternoon used a unique format of topic-based presentations by ADVODA vendor partners, peer-to-peer roundtable discussions and a product show involving more than 20 of ADVODA’s key vendors.Communications professionals share ideas at a Peer-to-Peer roundtable.

“It’s been the best meeting yet that we have held for our Agent Partners," said Hilary Fox, VP and general manager for ADVODA. “With around eighty Agent Partners in attendance and a large, diverse group of vendors providing product and technology information, everyone left feeling that it was a very good investment of their time."

Primary presentations in the theater at The Cable Center at DU in DenverWhen asked about the theme of the event, Ron Dunworth, president and CEO, said, “We opened the meeting with a video which challenged the audience to look to all of the vendors in attendance and try to figure out other ways they can grow their business. The questions seemed to shift from a focus on price to ways to bring added services and value to their respective client bases.
