Switchvox said its products are interoperable with Cbeyond’s SIP Trunking service, BeyondVoice with SIPconnect. The interoperability allows Switchvox’s and Cbeyond’s channel partners to provide customers with an IP PBX system, Internet access, local and long-distance voice service and toll-free numbers in one packaged offering, the companies said. Switchvox SMB is available starting at $2,495 and Switchvox SOHO is available for $995.

Nuvio Bolsters System With Fax Capabilities
Nuvio Corp. added inbound fax capabilities to its IP business phone system. Personal Fax allows customers to receive inbound faxes on any telephone number they use with Nuvio and works with their integrated messaging portal. The service recognizes fax tones on a call and intercepts the fax; Nuvio’s unified messaging portal then manages it. Users can have the fax e-mailed, or they can read it on the Web, or both.

Spanish-Language Training Tool Available for Cisco IP Phones
4What Interactive has released a Spanish language version of VoIPTrainer, an on-demand interactive training and support tool for Cisco Systems Inc.’s 7940/60 series IP phones. VoIPTrainer requires an annual subscription; the lowest price is $190 per month. VoIPTrainer includes unlimited training for an entire organization, regardless of size or number of users, anytime or anywhere. Training modules for other Cisco IP phone lines are planned for release.

Mediatrix Unveils 4100 Series
Mediatrix Telecom, a maker of VoIP access devices and gateways, released the Mediatrix 4100 Series. The family of access devices can connect up to 24 analog phones and/or faxes to a broadband modem or LAN; this means medium branch offices and multitenant buildings can deploy VoIP in a cost-effective manner, the company says. The devices can auto-provision by fetching their encrypted configuration from a TFTP or HTTP server, making installation secure and transparent to end users.
