Data Guard Systems Inc., which develops online business management software, has debuted its CellularManager Prepaid OnDemand platform, an enhancement to the company’s CellularManager point-of-sale and enterprise management software. CellularManager Prepaid OnDemand allows cellular retailers, wholesalers and master agents to generate new revenue by selling prepaid cellular minutes, in real time, over the Internet, using PINs made available to the end user.

Novatel Wireless Releases Module for Real-Time E-mail, Calendar Connections

Wireless broadband access solutions provider Novatel Wireless Inc. has unveiled modules that enable real-time e-mail and calendar connections between Microsoft Exchange Server and users’ PCs. The modules come with HSDPA and EV-DO technologies and work with Microsoft’s new Active Notifications software. Microsoft Active Notifications alerts users to incoming e-mail and calendar appointments while the computer is in sleep mode. With the Novatel Wireless module, users no longer have to manually connect to the network to check e-mail and look for calendar changes.

iPass Adds 3G, Satellite Services to Portfolio

To better enable enterprise productivity, iPass Inc. has added new 3G service in the United States, based on the high-speed CDMA EV-DO Rev. A standard. The company now provides two nationwide 3G services in the United States, as well as mobile data services covering China, Japan and Singapore. Mobile workers using the iPassConnect universal client – an option to the iPass Virtual Office – see one interface for connecting to all remote and mobile connection types, including EV-DO Rev.
