honored its top agents at The Fall 2005 Channel Partners Conference & Expo during an awards ceremony Sept. 21 afloat on the Chicago River.

The chartered cruise with a Hawaiian luau theme was held to thank agents for doing business with the carrier, says Stephanie Astor, senior product manager for business development and marketing at Broadwing.

On Sept. 21, about 150 agents and their subagents climbed aboard the open-air ferry to tour the Chicago River as far north as Goose Island and as far west as Chinatown.

Zane Long, Broadwing’s vice president of agent channel sales, presented awards to the company’s top agents. Telecom Brokerage Inc. ranked as the Top Billing Agent — 2005 Year to Date. Telarus Inc. earned honors as the Agent with the Most New Customers Sold — 2005 Year to Date. And World Telecom Group was Top Agent for Sold Revenue — 2005 Year to Date and Agent with the Largest Sale — 2005 Year to Date.
