New Edge Networks Inc. says it will provide new business development support for the top-performing sales agents. The support will range from sharing costs to lead generation to joint advertising and selling, New Edge says. The restructured agent program has four partnership tiers: strategic, business, selling and referral, each with its own compensation plan and sales or marketing support. Meanwhile, compensation, bonuses, and the type and level of business development support are customized for strategic partners.

Hosted voice communications service provider VirtualPBX.com Inc. has developed a two-tiered business referral program for channel partners looking to tap the small to medium-sized business market.

The VirtualPBX solution is a hosted, pay-as-yougo IP PBX solution aimed at cost-conscious and multi-location businesses. It requires no equipment purchase. Features include automatic call distribution, Web-based management of phone and fax traffic, round-the-clock availability and 800-number access to remote employees.

Meanwhile, The VirtualPBXT Small Business System takes less than 48 hours to install and is offered as a month-to-month service for a one-time, $150 set-up fee, plus extension charges of $5 to $15 per month, depending on the number of extensions. Call traffic rates start at 3.6 cents per minute.

The VirtualPBX Partner program offers access to training materials and sales and marketing tools, and partners receive a percentage of the referred customers revenue payments over the first two years of service.

Comstor Inc., a channel provider of networking technology products and a division of the global Westcon Group Inc., has launched Comstor MarketVision, an in-house marketing agency.

Comstor created MarketVision to assist VARs in their marketing efforts. The program provides services such as creating customized collateral materials, offering print services, designing graphics, logos and Web sites, helping with Internet marketing and campaigns and more. Special marketing offers will be available to resellers on an ongoing basis.

TManage, a MegaPath Networks Inc. company and a provider of comprehensive managed networking solutions, has announced the addition of an SSL-enabled managed clientless VPN service for remote network access, now available through MegaPath agents and resellers. As part of a comprehensive managed solution which complements TManages existing IPSec-based managed remote access VPN offering, distributed enterprises can now implement the SSL VPN service to connect mobile workforces and business partners to Webenabled applications.

Wi-Fi Guys LLC, a provider of managed hotspot solutions for hotels and public facilities, has installed wireless high-speed Internet access at the at the 50-guestroom Best Western Baywalk Inn near Barker Island in Superior, Wis.

Guests can obtain a password from the hotels front desk or pay for this service by credit card. The guest then logs on and begins surfing. Wi-Fi Guys service can be used with laptops or PDAs, as long as the chosen device contains a wireless card or Centrino chip.

Wi-Fi Guys says its wireless service provides unlimited use of high-speed wireless Internet access, toll-free technical support and no timeouts or dropped connections during inactivity or downloads. Wi-Fi Guys offers services direct and via agents.
