Network security provider Infoblox is debuting its Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program, creating a community of partnerships to optimize network automation and better defend against cyber threats.

Infoblox's Kanaiya VasaniMore than 30 partners have signed up for the program and are participating in joint efforts with Infoblox. Partners capitalize on Infoblox-provided APIs to integrate their network and security offerings with Infoblox’s Actionable Network Intelligence platform, “enabling joint customers to automate workflows and increase protection against evolving threats,” the company said.

Kanaiya Vasani, Infoblox’s vice president of corporate and business development, tells Channel Partners his company decided to formalize the TAP program because of two trends: channel-partner demand for “consolidated solution offerings” and customer demand for “API-driven integrations that reduce costs.”

“This partner program allows our partners to deliver a comprehensive suite of network and security solutions that work together seamlessly and eliminate friction in deployment at the customer site,” he said. “The out-of-the-box integration results in drastic time and cost savings for both sides, which, in turn, results in more value creation for our partners and joint customers.”

The TAP program is new, but Infoblox has always prioritized its different partner programs, which include strategic alliance partners, channel IP partners and SIs, Vasani said. The entire Infoblox portfolio is available to the channel, and the company has more than 850 channel partners globally, he said.{ad}

“The launch … creates many new opportunities for partners, particularly in this environment of increasingly sophisticated malware and cybersecurity attacks — which make contextual threat intelligence paramount to detecting and resolving threats quickly,” he said. “With the ability to integrate our Actionable Network Intelligence platform into their solutions, Infoblox enables partners to better serve the evolving and growing network security needs of their customers. The TAP program also enables two-way data exchange so that Infoblox can also ingest data from partner products, enabling us to deliver higher fidelity and more accurate actionable intelligence to customers.”

TAP allows Infoblox to work with its partners to broaden its reach and deepen relationships with its customers, Vasani said. This allows it to better serve the evolving network and security needs of its joint customers as they look to transform their data centers and prepare their business for the digital transformation, he said.

“The TAP program also makes it easier for customers to purchase a broad set of integrated solutions and services from our partners through just a single vendor,” he said. “In several cases, end customers also benefit from the value-added services that our partners build around these solution offers.”

In related news, Infoblox announced an expanded partnership with Qualys to streamline vulnerability management, compliance and threat remediation. Infoblox notifies Qualys when new physical, virtual or cloud infrastructure elements join the network, and when malicious events are detected, as well as generates context about infected machines on the network.
