Jama Software is going after more partners and making its products more available to them.

Jama Software's Eric NguyenThe product development solution provider says it will grow its network of reseller partners, which currently reside in North America, Europe and Asia.

Jama also said it would make its offering more widely available to technical, services and innovation partners through the newly announced Jama Alliance.

The company said it is stretching the Alliance’s stable to beyond merely business partners, stressing the importance of “continuous and iterative development.”

“All technology innovation is continuous now. The Jama Alliance is designed to support innovation across technology developers from various origins,” said Eric Nguyen, Jama’s vice president of demand generation. “By making Jama available to upstarts and partners, we can help them accelerate their innovation when they find market viability.”{ad}

The Alliance also allows Jama’s innovation partners to acquire free licenses as they work to build products.

“Building products that satisfy user needs is a challenge that our students will face when they graduate and go to work for the world’s leading technology companies,” said Cécile Péraire, assistant professor at Carnegie Mellon Silicon Valley, which is part of the Alliance’s Innovator Partner Program. “When they use Jama in graduate-level classes, students gain an effective platform for defining complex products while reducing documentation overhead and improving collaboration.”

Jama’s solution helps “product-centric” organizations such as NASA and Boeing develop their products and meet regulatory compliance. Jama said in April that it achieved 100 percent year-over-year growth in GAAP subscription revenue. The company also appointed a new CEO Scott Roth, touting his experience in SaaS.

“Companies need to embrace new tools — tools that help simplify processes, meet these regulations and out-innovate competitors,” Roth said in April. “Jama does just that for companies across the globe and I’m excited to be part of the next chapter.”
