Arcserve Adds 4 Execs to Leadership Team, Including New Channel VP

Arcserve has expanded its leadership team by adding four new executives to its global product development, finance and strategic alliance divisions.

Arcserve's Scott PetersenScott Petersen has been named vice president of global channel and alliances, charged with growing the company’s strategic technology partnerships and aligning its global channel strategies. He previously was vice president of sales at Sphere 3D, where he grew its global presence and OEM business to 20 percent of worldwide revenue.

He also served in sales leadership roles with McData, acquired by Brocade Communications Systems in 2007, and BackBone Software, acquired by Quest Software in 2010.{ad}

“Arcserve has done an incredible job of building its global channel network to over 7,500 partners in record time,” Petersen said. “This isn’t surprising given the mindset that partners are an extension of its core team.”

Arcserve's Oussama El-HilaliOussama El-Hilali has been named vice president of products, charged with managing Arcserve’s research and development, product strategy and emerging technologies. He brings nearly 25 years of senior leadership experience from organizations including EMC, Symantec and Carbonite. In addition, he has consulted with software companies to amplify growth through new technology development and acquisition.

“Arcserve is uniquely positioned to meet the evolving data protection and information accessibility needs of this dynamic market,” he said.

Arcserve's Erica AntonyErica Antony has been named vice president of product management. She previously was senior director of product management at Veritas Technologies, which was acquired by Symantec in 2005 and most recently by The Carlyle Group this year. She led commercial business strategy and product planning initiatives for its midmarket backup and recovery organization, as well as implemented agile development and planning practices.

Arcserve's Darin McAreaveyDarin McAreavey has been named chief financial officer. He previously served as executive vice president and CFO at Cachet Financial Solutions. Prior to Cachet, he was CFO at Xiotech, Wireless Ronin Technologies, which was acquired by Creative Realities in 2004, and Stellent, which was acquired by Oracle in 2006.

Arcserve provides unified data protection for cloud, virtual and physical environments.
