Cloud workspace provider IndependenceIT is expanding its management team to meet the growing demand for workspace automation.

Independence IT's Donald DeshaiesMicrosoft veteran Donald Deshaies has been appointed to lead IndependenceIT’s sales organization. As executive vice president of sales, he will support domestic and international expansion.

He joins recent executive team member additions Mark Prestipino, who serves as the company’s chief operating officer, and Michael Walsh, who holds the post of executive VP of product and engineering.

Deshaies previously served as VP of channel strategy and management for Sage, a U.K-based enterprise software company. Prior to Sage, Deshaies served in senior roles including general manager and global director of channel strategy for Microsoft.

“Cloud Workspace by IndependenceIT is uniquely positioned to significantly reduce the burden and cost of deploying, apps, workspaces, and software-defined data centers,” Deshaies said. “This alleviates an ongoing challenge for the channel which has not been well addressed by competing solutions. As a result, there is an enormous opportunity for partners to capitalize on the increasing interest in cloud-based infrastructure.”{ad}

Pluribus' Todd DaltonAlso this week, Pluribus Networks announced it is expanding its channel program by adding new territories and more dedicated resources to keep up with demand for its software-defined networking and network performance monitoring services. It has appointed former Arista executive Todd Dalton as head of channels for the western United States and former Talari Networks executive Ron Falbo as head of channels for the eastern U.S.

“Todd and Ron each have deep experience in what it takes to successfully partner with the reseller community,” said Kumar Srikantan, Pluribus Networks’ CEO. “Enterprise IT teams are thirsty for new approaches that drive greater agility and visibility in their networks. Our expanded channel program will make our solutions, including our award-winning Virtualization-Centric Fabric Insight Analytics (VCF-IA), available to more partners while maintaining our high level of channel empowerment. VCF-IA is a perfect fit for new partners looking to demonstrate their technology prowess across their accounts or provide entry into new accounts. Their domain expertise, long-term channel relationships, and our award-winning solutions are a perfect combination.”
