Platform9 Launches Inaugural Partner Program

Platform9 Monday announced its new partner program designed for resellers, service providers and systems integrators focused on cloud computing.

Sirish Raghuram, Platform9’s co-founder and CEO, tells Channel Partners his company now works with more than 12 channel partners, which mostly are national and regional service providers in North America that serve mid-to-large enterprises.

“We established this inaugural partner program to capitalize on the interest our SaaS-based private cloud solution is generating, not only from customers but also from channel partners,” he said. “Formalizing the program enables us to work with partners more effectively, offering training, enablement and financial incentives to make them successful. Ultimately, our program enables us to more efficiently scale our business overall.”{ad}

Program incentives include access to Platform9’s sales and marketing support, joint marketing and demand-generation programs, deal registration and compensation on all contracted services.

“Our partners have expertise/centers of excellence around data-center infrastructure, cloud technology and virtualization,” Raghuram said. “Working with partners is a win-win for both Platform9 and its channel partners. Platform9 Managed OpenStack makes building and maintaining private clouds fast, easy and affordable — for our partners and their customers. Further, adding Platform9 to their solution mix allows partners to offer their customers next-generation, cloud-centric solutions while retaining their core data-center business.”

According to Wikibon, true private cloud (on-premises and hosted together) is expected to grow from $7 billion in 2015 to $201 billion in 2026, representing a 36 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and 31 percent of infrastructure spend.
