ZyXEL Launches Freedom Program as Part of Channel Realignment

ZyXEL Communications, a provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access and connected home products, on Tuesday announced the launch of its Freedom Program.

ZyXEL's Jeff GallifentThe two-tier program is designed to help resellers to grow their businesses and increase their revenue by partnering with ZyXEL. The company introduced the program as part of a major realignment of its channel business.

Jeff Gallifent, ZyXEL’s director of channel sales North America, tells Channel Partners that, in restructuring the channel business, “we looked at what improvements could be made to our program.” The company has about 3,000 partners, including VARs, MSPs, consultants and system integrators.

“ZyXEL is dedicated to making it easy for our resellers to work with us and needed to make sure our partner program was not only easy but beneficial to our partners,” he said. “The Freedom Program does remove issues for our partners in that they have 24/7 tech support, access to a sales engineer and advanced RMA replacement. Joining our partner program is very easy as well, with fewer requirements and no hidden cost or certifications. With other programs, resellers face having to spend time and money getting certified or paying for tech support.” 

Other new benefits being offered to resellers include: free product webinars; free technical training; lifetime limited warranties on specific product lines; meet-or-beat competitor pricing; the Freedom Margin Booster; and lead referral.{ad}

Resellers that join the Advocate tier receive program benefits aimed at making it easier for them to sell and support ZyXEL products and services. 

Partners that sell $10,000 or make four transactions per quarter qualify for the Ally tier, which provides premium-level benefits.

“ZyXEL’s Freedom Program definitely supports our realignment of our channel business by helping our partners become more profitable as we partner with them to grow their business,” Gallifent said. “This is evident by the program offerings and simplicity in making doing business with ZyXEL easy and hassle free.”

ZyXEL’s portfolio includes multi-service LTE, fiber and DSL broadband gateways; home-connectivity offerings and smart-home devices; and enterprise-class Ethernet switches, security and Wi-Fi equipment for SMBs.
