Eastwind Networks on Wednesday launched its MSP and managed security service provider (MSSP) program featuring its hybrid network breach-detection system.

Eastwind Networks' Paul KrausEastwind’s service is designed to meet the needs of government agencies and enterprise IT security teams. This is the company’s first partner program.

Paul Kraus, Eastwind’s president and CEO, tells Channel Partners that partners want a “reliable way to detect hackers in their customer’s network before they act.”

“Previously, their only options had a host of issues: difficult setup, too many false positives and limited historical analysis left partners unconfident in their ability to detect breaches,” he said. “Eastwind’s cloud-based breach detection solution addresses each one of these deficiencies. Additionally, partners can leverage the Eastwind team of experts to help identify network vulnerabilities for their customers without a steep learning curve.”

Eastwind’s partners include 12 MSPs, MSSPs and outsourced IT providers representing enterprises of all sizes in industries such as financial services, health care and manufacturing, he said. Each of these partners has “differentiated themselves from the competition by providing their customers a solution that ensures customer data and assets are secure,” he said.{ad}

“Eastwind is dedicated to ensuring our customers are secure,” Kraus said. “As trusted advisers, MSPs/MSSPs are in a unique position to realize this vision. That being said, Eastwind is looking to bring on any partner that is dedicated to the security of their customers.”

According to a Forrester Research report, security information and event management (SIEM) technology “has become outdated. Vendors can no longer rely on traditional SIEM solutions to detect and stop cyberbreaches. New security analytics and threat intelligence will make the difference going forward for MSSPs and their customers in defending against cyberbreaches.”

“We are continuously evaluating new security technologies to offer our customers the best network security and visibility in the industry,” said Eric Montague, owner of Executech, an outsourced IT provider. “Participating in the Eastwind Networks MSP Program will provide us access to leading-edge security technology and experts that will allow us to better stop network vulnerabilities and threats for our customers.”
