Vision Solutions Hires Fortinet, Egenera Vet to Lead Partner Growth

Vision Solutions Thursday announced the appointment of Chris Cleary as senior vice president of Double-Take global sales.

Vision Solutions' Chris ClearyIn this role, Cleary will lead Vision Solutions’ field sales and channel sales teams, and be responsible for growing Double-Take sales and strategic initiatives involving migrations and disaster recovery as a service. He previously was senior director of global channels and distribution at Globalscape.

Clearly also served in leadership positions at Egenera, Fortinet and Secured Services.

“Chris’ energy, leadership and channel experience make him an excellent addition to our team,” said Bob Johnson, Vision Solutions’ executive vice president of sales and marketing. “I’m happy to have him on board to help us grow the ecosystem of our Double-Take business for Windows and Linux platforms.”

Cleary has more than 20 years of experience in high-growth technology sales, specifically in the information security and telecom industries. His specialties and expertise include managing global and multinational structured sales, strategic alliances and international supply chain management.{ad}

“I believe that the key to developing a successful channel program is proper alignment,” he said. “It’s important to take a step back, outside the traditional perspective of a software manufacturer, and see things from a distribution partner’s point of view. We must align our solutions with our partner’s portfolio and core expertise, provide the requisite tools, education and field support to ensure we are enhancing our partner’s value proposition to their customers.”
