The AT&T Alliance Channel is giving solution providers more sales opportunities by adding more products to its channel.

AT&T Alliance's Kevin LeonardProviders with Alliance now can access the AT&T Network on Demand platform, aimed at helping businesses move faster and putting control of the network in customers’ hands. Setting up network service is easier, and changing service or adjusting bandwidth happens in near real time, the carrier said.

AT&T also has added Internet of Things (IoT) asset management products, including: Asset Management for Equipment and Machinery, which offers insight into location, diagnostics and usage of connected machinery through IoT technology; and Asset Management for Storage Tanks, which remotely monitors the fill levels of storage tanks holding oil, chemicals and compressed gases.

In addition, Asset Management for Shipping Containers provides a complete view of the shipment of containers or trailers.

“What we want to be is an integrated solution provider for our customers,” Kevin Leonard, vice president of AT&T’s alternate channels, told us last week at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas. “And we want to work with solution providers to help that because we realize as big as we are, we can’t do it alone. They are at the local level, talking to customers and becoming their trusted advisors. And what we want to do is make sure they understand the solutions we have to empower them.”{ad}

Last week, AT&T announced a new IoT platform to enable providers to deploy, manage and scale IoT offerings with connectivity to its 4G LTE network. AT&T Control Center is being added to the AT&T Partner Exchange mobility platform. The cloud-based platform powered by Jasper will support its sale of IoT services to customers across different verticals.

“We are becoming easier and easier to do business with, and the culture has never been better inside AT&T,” Leonard said. “It’s never been more exciting to be a part of AT&T’s channel programs.”
