Kaseya Introduces New Services Platform for MSPs

Kaseya is on the move with the introduction of its Business Management Solution (BMS) that gives MSPs the ability to control all aspects of their business at a lower cost.

Kaseya BMS is the culmination of more than a year of joint R&D work between Kaseya and its partner Vorex, which resulted in Kaseya’s recent acquisition of Vorex. More than $25 million in R&D was invested by both companies over the last three years to bring this service to market.

Miguel Lopez, Kaseya’s senior vice president and general manager for MSP solutions, tells Channel Partners that MSPs have been at a disadvantage with the existing selection of professional services automation (PSA) vendors, in part because these vendors have been “focused on the wrong thing.”

“Today’s PSA solutions are costly products loaded with unused features and obsolete technology that hamper employees from doing their job,” he said. “Existing PSA products do not generate revenue growth — yet they consume significant capital/expense dollars that could/should be better deployed by the MSP business on revenue generating initiatives. At Kaseya, our strength and innovation lies with products and services that enable MSPs to evolve into high-growth, second-generation MSPs – with products that adopt our ‘Times Twenty’ initiative – that’s to say that we believe every $1 invested in Kaseya products should yield $20 in revenue for the MSP.”{ad}

Kaseya has 6,000-7,000 MSP customers, depending on how they categorize themselves. In 2015, the company added more than 1,000 new customers, and more than 600 were MSPs.

BMS is built on a Web-based platform that provides Web-based access, unlimited scalability in the cloud, flexible reporting, tight integration with remote monitoring and management, and accounting/finance systems, Lopez said. It is “easy to implement, learn and use,” he said.

“We wanted to start with a fresh slate – with a ‘born-in-the-cloud’ solution that would provide our customers with ‘business agility’ – i.e., the ability to react quickly to market opportunities by rolling out new service offerings – and when developing the requirements, we saw that Vorex mapped well to what we wanted to do,” he said. “We initiated a partnership with them in order to add in our 15 years of experience at servicing MSPs to their product’s capabilities.”

As part of this announcement, Kaseya is offering MSPs a competitive upgrade of one-year free license for all ConnectWise, Autotask and Tigerpaw customers.

“Kaseya believes that MSPs should minimize the amount of money spent on non-revenue generating products and activities,” said Fred Voccola, Kaseya’s CEO.
